The HRIS Analyst is a key member of the HRIS team who will work to
support the UKG Pro HRIS system by promoting automation, data
integrity, system efficiencies, and reporting. This position will
serve as a point of contact to key HR stakeholders to design,
implement, and troubleshoot system and data issues. The HRIS
Analyst will participate in system upgrades, projects, testing and
other duties as needed. This position is a full-time, non-exempt
role with excellent benefits and can reside in any of Baker Botts'
Houston or Washington D.C. office.Essential Duties and
Responsibilities
- Maintain, support, and enhance the UKG Pro HRIS system by
accurately configuring and processing data, including maintaining
system tables, workflows, platform configuration, security,
etc.
- Partner with users and each HR functional area to assist with
troubleshooting and resolving system and data integration
issues.
- Develop and propose solutions, including system configurations,
to meet business process needs and requirements.
- Assist in UAT testing relating to HR system upgrades,
enhancements, and configuration changes including building and
tracking test scripts.
- Performs regular data audits to ensure data integrity,
compliance, and adherence to HR policy and processes to avoid
impacts on internal and external systems.
- Monitor and provision employee security access to the HRIS
system.
- Develop and manage file imports for employee data maintenance
and year-end processes.
- Designs and maintains various ad-hoc and standard reports,
including regulatory reporting and government surveys, utilizing
appropriate reporting tools, including Cognos BI.
- Develop and maintain user guides and system documentation.
Deliver training and assist users on system utilization and system
upgrades.
- Maintain awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on
product and service development, delivery, and support, as well as
applying key technologies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.Education/Experience
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience working with HCM/HRIS
platforms e.g. UKG Pro (preferred), Workday, or Success Factors, in
an HR environment.Qualifications:
- Experience in system configuration, business process/workflow
setup, testing, security setup, system maintenance, upgrades, and
fixes in HCM system, specifically in Recruiting, Onboarding, Core
HR, Benefits, Time Management, and Reporting.
- Experience in developing and maintaining reports preferably in
Cognos BI (People Analytics) or equivalent reporting tools. SQL
query language is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and timeliness.
- Strong understanding of HR, Benefits, and Payroll functional
processes, including interdependencies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the
ability to translate technical concepts to all levels of
employees.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving
skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret
customer business needs and translate them into application and
operational requirements.Physical Demands
- Must be able to work at a computer for extensive periods of
time.
- Must be able to routinely lift and carry file folders weighing
up to 5 pounds.
- Must be able to sit for 1 hour without a break.Working
Condition and Environment
- Work is normally performed in a typical office environment.
Standard business hours are 7.5 hours per day, Monday through
Friday.
- Work is normally performed in a standard office environment but
may, on occasion, involve moderate exposure to dust, dirt and/or
extreme temperature.
- Must be available to work overtime, including weekend hours,
when necessary to meet established deadlines or stay current with
occasional peaks in workload. Must be willing to change regular
work schedule to meet the needs of the Firm.
- This role may be hybrid and will require a minimum of three
days per week (or at least 60%) present in the office, and up to
two days per week (40%) may be performed remotely.For positions
based in the Washington D.C. office of Baker Botts L.L.P., the
salary range is $41.60 - $48.72 per hour.Baker Botts L.L.P. is an
