Akima, LLC is seeking a Lead Pricing Analyst who will lead pricing activities, develops pricing strategy, and provides business guidance for pricing efforts across the company. This highly visible position works closely with senior leaders in operations, contracts, and business development. This position will provide pricing support for government contracts/solicitations through hands-on development/creation of pricing models/exhibits and documentation for proposal opportunities of varying sizes and complexities. The Lead Pricing Analyst is responsible for all federal contract pricing activities, including but not limited to providing historical cost research and pricing strategies, developing proposal pricing, drafting cost volumes in response to requests for proposals (RFP's), conducting price and cost compliance reviews, developing and maintaining pricing policies, procedures and controls, and ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR's). This is a senior level position and the candidate shall have extensive experience in estimating and pricing mid to large size government service contracts (FFP, IDIQ, T&M, Cost Plus, etc.) and an in-depth understanding of SCA, CBA/Unions, DBA, FAR, and CAS. Responsibilities: - Lead the development and preparation of all pricing models. - Work closely with Operations, Contracts, Business Development, and Compensation & Benefits to ensure all pricing models are professional, compliant, and accurate. - Drive the development of pricing development for all assigned opportunities. To include; prepare and present detailed cost/price briefings to senior management, lead discussions of RFP pricing requirements and evaluation criteria, competitive analysis, pricing strategies, key financial metrics, cost recovery and risk of impact of adopted pricing strategies. - Responsible for guiding pricing strategy to ensure competitive bid structure to achieve highest win probabilities while meeting complex customer pricing requirements. - Interface with senior management, shared service departments, business development and proposal teams to identify issues, support strategy, implement solutions, develop guidance and ensure compliance. - Collaborate with all shared service functions to ensure contract documents properly reflect pricing data. Identify and manage required price adjustments during the contract life cycle. Address any related pricing inquiries. Maintain detailed pricing documentation files. - Ensure efficient layout, development, and production of compliant cost/price proposals, including cost models/templates, formats, and pricing rationale in accordance with solicitation instructions, corporate policies, and CAS/FAR. - Interface with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and teammates as required to develop team pricing, document price/cost reasonableness, conduct cost analyses/comparisons and prove reasonableness, realism and completeness. - Monitor government pricing calculation requirements and policy changes to ensure compliance. - Manage the calculation and submission of government proposal pricing and other reporting requirements to applicable and state and federal agencies. - Ensure government policies, procedures and controls are being properly adhered to. - Assist in developing and implementing process or procedural changes, including training documents, procedural documents and presentations for other parts of the organization. - Assist with the development of contract proposal budgets and narratives. - Prepare fully compliant pricing proposals in response to published RFP's from federal agencies across several contract types, including narratives and cost related documents. - Conducts analysis of workload requirements to establish baseline staffing estimates - Conducts analysis regarding Labor, Material, Equipment, Subcontracts, and Other Direct Cost requirements - Interfaces/coordinates with subcontractors to ensure proposals received are reasonable, realistic, and compliant with RFP requirements and are submitted on time - Oversees assembly, final production, and quality control of cost proposals - Performs peer reviews of proposals - Provides assistance and guidance to lower level Pricing Analysts and Proposal Managers. - Maintains archive of electronic cost proposal files - Participate in proposal team meetings and provide support, as needed. - Collaborate with other departments on special projects as required.
