Looking for a chill AF nerdy ABC or BOC Licensed Pediatric Orthotist or CPO to join my family owned practice. I'm looking for someone to do all the usual Orthotist/CPO things. Bonus points for extensive knowledge of pokemon or MLP. Look, I just need someone else to help see the patients and cover our behinds on the paperwork, no real fab work required unless you want to do it. We ONLY do kids/ under 22 so no crusty feet here. NO nights/ No on call/ NO hospital call. We do outpatient clinics a few days a week and work a few Saturdays a month in our office. We mainly Cfab, though I do have full lab equipment available if you really want to make your own stuff. It's currently mainly orthotics though if you want to bring in more prosthetics patients I'm cool with that. I see a fair amount of scoli/clubfoot/spina bifida and CP patients along with token plagio patients. We're a smol but mighty practice, no goals of taking over the world, but rather we have the lofty goal of doing right by our peeps. It's an honor and a privilege to see these kids walk again after going through so much. If you speak Spanish that's a plus. We have most of the things- paid continuing education, health insurance contribution, dental contributions, paid vacations etc... We're the good guys fighting the good fight for these kiddos. Most of my patients are Zebras- not horses- so you'll see some really cool stuff.Please write me a brief message saying why you want to work here/ think you're a good fit.Our main office is located in Ashburn, Virginia, but we also go into DC to work at the Children's Hospital outpatient clinic during the week (2-3 days)-They built us a brace room there- for us- so we have a small lab space there. Some of those days I drive the carpool from Ashburn to DC- you can ride for free. Others you will be responsible for driving yourself with reimbursement. I like to work as a tag team, we see the patients together and collaborate. I do have an orthotic assistant type person whom can do your small adjustments, note templates and buff/trim for you. I have office staff whom will chase down your paperwork from the doctors for you.
