SAIC has an immediate opening for a Data Scientist that is looking to be a Team Lead. The ideal candidate for this role is a skilled data scientist , engineer, or software developer with experience leading a team of data scientists and software developers to research and develop new analytical techniques and tools. --The Team Lead should possess an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness since they will apply and/or develop highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts.-- If you are selected for this role, you will be responsible for working closely with Customer and Program Management to establish strategic plans and objectives i n designing the project's overall machine learning, artificial intelligence, and software development strategy. Here are some other things you will do:

• Manage and mentor team members to complete project tasks on time
• Translate mission needs into an end-to-end analytical approach to achieve results
• Collaborate with other scientists and domain experts on the team
• Determine the appropriate analytics based on the data and the desired outcomes, using techniques including feature detection, statistics, data mining, predictive modeling, machine learning, natural language processing, and business intelligence
• Interpret the validity of results and communicate the meaning of those results
• Understand data wrangling, analytics, and visualization software and programming languages, including analytics methods for big data Qualifications Must have a current/activeTS/SCI with Polygraph Minimum of20 years of overall relevant technical experience, or 15 years of experience plusa Master's Degree in a relevant field Must haveminimum of 10 years of experience applying data science and engineeringpractices 3 or moreyears of experience in the Intelligence Community Experienceas a team lead or manager strongly preferred, but not required Ability to multi-taskand successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines Experience---codingwith Python Ability toexercise strong analytical judgement in framing the problem and selecting theright tools, while avoiding unnecessary complexity.
