experts. We are seeking a dynamic, results driven ERP Business
Development Director with strong experience working with
Departments of Transportation (DOTs) to lead strategic growth
initiatives and expand our footprint within State and Local
Government markets. This role focuses on identifying, advancing,
and closing new business opportunities by promoting our market
leading ERP solutions. The ideal candidate brings proven success
selling into DOT agencies, an understanding of their operational
needs, and the ability to build trusted relationships with
transportation leadership teams. Experience engaging with State
DOTs is highly preferred and will be a key differentiator.
Location: Fairfax, VA | Dallas/Belton, TX | Denver, CO | Knoxville,
TN | Lafayette, LA | Henderson, NV Hybrid role: 2–3 days/week
onsite at any CGI office. Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy
focused on ERP solutions (e.g., Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, CGI
Advantage, CGI Momentum, etc.), with a targeted focus on State DOT
needs such as infrastructure funding, capital project accounting,
asset lifecycle management, grants, and transportation financial
systems. • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities
with State and Local Government, especially Departments of
Transportation-through market research, targeted outreach,
networking, and DOT specific lead generation. • Research DOT
organizational structures and decision makers; synthesize
intelligence to position CGI’s ERP capabilities tailored to
transportation operations, funding cycles, and federal compliance
requirements. • Build and maintain strong relationships with DOT
CIOs, CFOs, Chief Engineers, division directors, and other key
transportation stakeholders; understand their pain points,
modernization goals, and ERP transformation priorities. • Lead the
end to end sales cycle including capability positioning, proposal
development, RFP responses, oral presentations, contract
negotiation, and deal closure within the DOT environment. •
Collaborate with pre sales teams, solution architects, and delivery
teams to align DOT requirements—such as project accounting,
maintenance management, fleet/asset management, and federal grant
compliance with the proposed ERP solution. • Establish trusted,
peer level relationships across DOT agencies to effectively
position CGI’s differentiators and proactively propose innovative
solutions. • Represent the company at transportation industry
events, DOT conferences, and government technology forums to
promote CGI’s capabilities and thought leadership. • Track, manage,
and report on sales pipeline, forecasts, and performance metrics,
including DOT specific pursuits, to senior leadership. • Stay
current on ERP and DOT industry trends, modernization initiatives,
FHWA/FTA regulations, IIJA/BIL funding requirements, and
competitive offerings. • Ability and willingness to travel as
needed for DOT client engagement. Required qualifications to be
successful in this role: • Bachelor’s degree in Business,
Information Technology, Public Administration, or related field
(MBA preferred). • 10 years of experience in business development
or sales within the ERP space, including direct experience working
with any Departments of Transportation(State or Federal) • Proven
track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in enterprise
software, ERP transformation programs, or government consulting
services. • In-depth understanding of ERP platforms, implementation
lifecycles, and transportation related workflows such as capital
project management, asset management, federal grants, and state
transportation finance. • Strong knowledge of government budgeting,
DOT procurement processes, RFP procedures, and legislative funding
cycles. • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation
skills, with demonstrated success influencing senior DOT
executives. • Highly entrepreneurial, persistent, and persuasive,
with a strong ability to navigate complex government environments
and long sales cycles. • Ability to work both independently and in
a collaborative, fast paced, matrixed environment. • Willingness to
travel as required. CGI anticipates accepting applications through

role. The determination of this range includes various factors not
limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and
licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for
merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at
or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions
are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A
reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S.
