Web Applications Automated Test EngineerThe Opportunity:When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Thats why we need you, a knowledgeable Test Engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.As a Test Engineer on our team, youll work with testers, developers, analysts, and CMs to evaluate software developed for the client. Youll work on creating a test plan with test cases based on user stories. Using both automated and manual processes, youll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool. Youll automate continuous security and performance testing and monitor the health of the clients system.This is an opportunity to leverage your skills by writing the code to test. The world cant wait.You Have:3+ years of experience with writing software tests and conducting testing in a professional work environment1+ year of experience testing web UIs with support from an automated test framework, including CypressKnowledge of evaluating, testing, and validating of assigned applications, and the development of solutions to resolve problemsAbility to review application documentation for correctness, adhere to the design concept and user standards, track problems and provide updates to designated management, and prepare milestone status reportsTS/SCI clearance with a polygraphHS diploma or GEDNice If You Have:Experience with software development using common programming languages and frameworks, including Node.js, Angular, Java, and PythonExperience with developing performance test scripts and scenarios using industry tools, including JMeterAbility to manage discrepancies identified during testing and collaborate with the software development team to resolve software bugsAbility to set testing schedules and provide progress or status to project management and client stakeholdersClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allens total compensation package for employees.
