Job Description:
Ready to make an impact! Peraton has an exciting opportunity for
a cleared Cyber Systems Administrator to join our dynamic
multi-disciplinary team, developing a next generation satellite
terminal on a mission critical Space and Intelligence Program.
The Cyber Systems Administrator will be responsible for the
following but not limited to:
- Manages the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure within
an organization, including the physical compute infrastructure
(e.g., servers, workstations) as well as server applications and
software (e.g., SQL Server).
- Configures, installs, maintains, and upgrades server
applications and hardware.
- Evaluate, test, recommend, coordinate, monitor and maintains
information systems (IS) and cyber security policies, procedures,
and systems, including access management for hardware, firmware,
and software.
- Ensures that IS and cyber security plans, controls, processes,
standards, policies, and procedures are aligned with IS standards
and overall IS and cyber security.
- Maintains overall system cybersecurity posture by continually
identifying security risks and exposures, causes of security
violations, and developing and implementing procedures to halt
future incidents and improve security.
- Develops techniques and procedures for conducting IS and cyber
security risk assessments and compliance audits, the evaluation and
testing of hardware, firmware, and software for possible impact on
system security, and the investigation and resolution of security
incidents such as intrusion, attacks, or leaks.Required
Qualifications:
- A current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
and the ability to obtain a polygraph
- Bachelor's Degree and two (2+) years of experience; Master's
Degree and no years of experience; High School Diploma/GED and
eight (8+) years of experience
- A current Security+ or similar DoD 8570 IAT certification
- Familiar with Windows system hardening in an isolated
environment (including group policy, host firewall and Bitlocker)
and account administration
- Familiar with patching and updating Windows operating systems
(Windows 10, Window Server 2012)Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and four (4+) years of experience; Master's
Degree and two (2+) years of experience; High School Diploma/GED
and 10+ years of experience
- Familiar with NIST 800-53 security controls and Risk Management
Framework process
- Demonstrated experience configuring, running and reviewing
scans with Tenable Nessus / Security center
- Demonstrated experience configuring HBSS
- Demonstrated experience configuring Splunk Universal Forwarder

Salary Minimum: $51,000
Colorado Salary Maximum: $123,800
The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this
position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation
package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses,
