Job BriefMartin's is growing! Come help us attract and hire the best talent available while maintaining excellent business relationships with our internal customers as well!The Staffing Specialist performs recruiting and staffing functions for assigned departments/positions within Martin's Famous Pastry Shoppe, Inc. The Staffing Specialist assists in defining and executing best practices to address staffing needs and effectively identify viable candidates. The Staffing Specialist acts as an Ambassador for Martin's by building internal and external relationships to aid in extraordinary customer service and to take initiative in growing Martin's reputation as an Employer of Choice within the job-seeker community.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers regarding staffing needs
  • Utilize best practices in selection processes to review, assess and hire candidates to fill open positions
  • Schedule and conduct phone and in-person interviews
  • Engage in activities to increase Martin's employment brand awareness in the community and develop a pipeline of viable candidates, including visibility in community, career-related events, and professional associations
  • Use technological and manual tracking/documenting systems to effectively maintain and store applicant information and new hire paperwork
  • Schedule new hire orientations as well as any applicable onboarding processes with Human Resources Team, Department Managers and Trainers
  • Work proactively with Human Resources Team to address internal/external customer needs and escalates staffing issues/concerns as needed
  • Responsible for tracking, measuring and achieving defined department metrics specific to recruiting and department customer service
  • Proactively communicate to internal and external customers and co-workers throughout the staffing process
  • Manage temporary staffing process by working with Department Managers to develop and assess temporary staging needs and communicate with staffing agencies to maintain specified temporary staffing levels
  • Develop and execute recruitment plans to expedite staffing needs and hard-to-fill positions
  • Use judgment in following defined processes and balancing Hiring Manager's unique needs
  • Remain up to date on changes to regulations regarding hiring practices and processes
  • Train Hiring Managers and Human Resources Team on Martin's hiring practices and changing industry regulations as necessary
  • Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrating respect for othersQualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
    • 1-3 years of related recruitment/staffing experience
    • Proficiency in all Microsoft Suites products, including Excel, Powerpoint, and Word
    • Experience with Oracle HR, Kronos, and Taleo helpfulWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
