Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare provider in the
DMV area, is seeking a passionate PRN Speech Language Pathologist
to join our dedicated team. This position offers the opportunity to
work across a diverse patient population, delivering high-quality
speech therapy and rehabilitation services. The ideal candidate
will have proven experience and a deep commitment to enhancing
patient communication and swallowing functions through innovative,
evidence-based therapy practices. Assess, diagnose, and treat
speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Provide
therapy in individual and group settings, and record progress and
treatment plans. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to
integrate speech therapy with overall patient care. Educate
patients and their families about communication and swallowing
strategies. Stay current with new treatments, tools, and research
in speech pathology. Strong understanding of speech disorders and
treatments. Excellent patient management and communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. Competence
in using speech therapy technologies and tools. Valid state license
in Speech Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence in
Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
