Job Description:

MedStar Health seeks a compassionate and skilled Emergency Department Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dedicated healthcare team. Located in the thriving D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, MedStar Health is committed to providing the highest quality of patient care with a focus on advanced medical practices and community health. In this role, the LPN will work in a fast-paced emergency department to provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. You will assist in the implementation of patient treatment plans, providing both physical and emotional support to patients and their families during critical times. Assess and record patient vital signs and medical information as required. Administer medications and injections as prescribed by the attending physician. Assist registered nurses and physicians in the implementation of patient treatment plans. Provide wound care and other emergency interventions. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and in-hospital procedures. Maintain patient confidentiality and documentation accurately. Implement patient safety and infection control standards. Strong clinical skills in a high-pressure environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in team settings Knowledge of medication administration and wound care Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
