Responsibilities - Work in a hospital medical/surgical telemetry unit - Three 12-hour night shifts per week - Patient population includes adult Med/Surg and telemetry cases - Use of telemetry monitoring equipment and Cerner EMR is required - Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med/Surg and telemetry patients - Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and document findings - Demonstrate ability to interpret and address patient needs across the lifespan - Admission assessments must be completed within established timeframes - Must submit two manager or supervisor references verifying recent experience - Holiday coverage and floating may be required as directed by the department - Dress code and scrub color details provided upon assignment Requirements - Active DC RN license (standard or compact) in hand - Minimum of two years' recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience in a US hospital - American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications required - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required - Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification mandated by position - Graduate from an accredited or NLN-approved RN program - BSN highly desired - Experience with Cerner EMR required - Must live at least 25 miles away from the facility to be eligible as a traveler - Social Security number required for consideration Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-663000.
