Sterile Processing Tech Location: Washington, DC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,479 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Sterile Processing Manager Profession: Sterile Processor Supervisor - Certified Specialty: Sterile Processing Department Duration: 13 months Shift: Day 8 Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Experience: Minimum of 5 years professional experience in sterile processing with an Associate's degree. Minimum of 9 years of professional experience in sterile processing without a college degree. Management experience: Minimum of 3 years. License: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) Certifications: Certified Endoscopic Reprocessor (CER) or Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER); Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL) or Certified Sterile Processing Management (CSPM) Must-Have: Sterile Processing Manager experience Description: Responsible for managing all processes associated with cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation. Oversees storage and transport of specific instrumentation, surgical sets, and patient care equipment. Maintains adequate inventory of instruments and equipment. Requires knowledge and skill in the use of instruments and equipment. Reviews preventive maintenance contracts and maintains PM schedules for Sterile Processing equipment. Ensures equipment meets organizational needs. Provides education and training for all staff in case picking. Arranges transportation of borrowed instruments and equipment. Ensures collaborative communication for all parties involved in the transport process. Supervises staff members and implements certification and educational programs. Aids in recruitment and retention of qualified staff. Leads in creating and maintaining a development pathway for Sterile Processing students. Collaborates with oversight entities to develop new training programs. Addresses organizational and departmental needs through assessments and regulatory requirements. Develops measurement tools to monitor and report quality and productivity within the department. Follows regulations of relevant regulatory agencies. Maintains compliance with applicable standards and prepares for regulatory and accreditation surveys. Requirements Required for Onboarding BLS Skills Checklist Specialty Exam
