This role focuses on the crafting, repair, and restoration of stringed instruments, ensuring high-quality service for musicians of all levels. As a Luthier at Guitar Center, you will apply your in-depth knowledge of woods' properties and instrument design to maintain the superior standard our customers expect, delivering solutions that enhance musical performances. Construct, maintain, and repair stringed instruments Customize instruments to meet musicians' specific needs Collaborate with musicians to understand their preferences and performance styles Manage inventory of supplies and tools for instrument construction and repair Stay updated with latest trends in instrument design and materials Conduct quality assurance tests on instruments to ensure superior performance In-depth knowledge of stringed instruments construction Skilled in woodworking and detailed craftsmanship Ability to work with a variety of tools and machinery Strong communication and customer service skills Problem-solving capabilities Attention to detail Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certification from a recognized Luthery school (e.g., Galloup School of Luthiery, Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery) Relevant craftsman or woodworking certifications
