Westat currently supports several central cancer registry operations and is looking for a candidate familiar with oversight and management of staff involved in case-finding, quality reviews, consolidation, and data management.This position is remote eligible.Job Responsibilities:--- Oversight of and participation in performance of quality control activities.--- Management of staff conducting abstraction and oncology coding of--- cancer cases.--- Oversight of staff conducting visual reviews and editing as well as records consolidation.--- Management of case-finding and re-abstracting facility audits.--- Preparation and maintenance of procedure manuals to meet pertinent--- activities in support of multiple cancer-related projects.--- Conduction of and/or participation in staff and client meetings.--- Oversight of ancillary activities related to cancer surveillance state and federal cancer reporting requirements.--- Conduction of and/or participation in educational training.--- Perform other job-related duties as needed or directed.Basic Qualifications:--- A bachelor's degree in public health or health science related field with ODS (CTR) certification is required.--- At least 5 years of oncology coding/abstracting experience is required.--- Experience with NPCR and NAACCR guidelines for cancer reporting.Preferred Qualifications:--- A master's degree in public health or health science.--- Experience in management of central cancer registry operations.--- Experience with hospital operations.--- Experience with data analysis.--- Experience with RegistryPlus Suite, Rocky Mountain Cancer Data System and SEER DMSOther Required Qualifications:--- Experience with Microsoft Suite.--- Demonstrated communication skills.--- Collaboration with teams, managers and/or clients.--- Organization skills, including time management ability.--- Detail oriented.Westat offers a well-rounded and comprehensive benefits program focused on wellness and work/life balance.
