United States citizenship or permanent resident status required Our client is a USA-based manufacturer of custom Fiber Optic and Copper cable assemblies. Additionally, the client's products cater to the Colocation Data Center industry providing their customers with a full line of Data Center cabinetry and cable management solutions. We are looking for a qualified Sales Account Manager to join the team. The individual will need to live in a close proximity to Ashburn or be within a couple of hours and willing to travel weekly for sales calls and meetings in the Ashburn area. The individual will be responsible for maintaining long-term relationships with existing and new customers and overseeing sales in the local Ashburn, Virginia.As a Sales account manager, you should work to satisfy customers' needs and requests, respond to their queries in a timely manner and aspire to deliver a positive customer experience. You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills and be customer service oriented.Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success.
  • Develop positive relationships with clients.
  • Function as the point of contact and handle customers' individual needs.
  • Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks.
  • Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.
  • Oversee account representatives to ensure sales execution.
  • Report on the status of accounts and transactions.
  • Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives.
  • Monitor sales metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
  • Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.Education and Experience:There are several qualifications that we expect the candidate to have. These include:
    • Proven sales record as a Sales account manager or Sales account executive. Proven success in the Ashburn, Va. area is a plus.
    • Working knowledge of typical Data Center components such as fiber optic structured cabling, racks/enclosures, cable plant conveyance systems, PDU's. Cage and aisle containment is a plus.
    • Direct experience in sales and an ability to deliver excellent customer experience.
    • Understanding of sales performance metrics.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • An ability to deliver projects and answer inquiries on time.
    • Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude.
    • BS degree in Business Administration, Marketing or relevant field
    • Solid communication skills, with proficiency in speaking and writing.
    • Knowledge of CRM software.
    • Computer literacy, as responsible for keying information into various computers and software programs.
    • Strong people skills - a polite and professional demeanor when collaborating with other companies, as well as consumers and coworkers.
    • The willingness and ability to comply with local, state, and federal financial regulations, as well as the regulations established by the company itself.
    • The individual must be attentive to detail, thorough, possess a strong work ethic, and be professional and courteous when working with others.
