Job Description:
The Executive Director is responsible for the overall campus
success and operational compliance in accordance with the
established policies and procedures of Presbyterian Homes, Inc. as
well as in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
Responsible for ensuring quality of care, resident rights,
effective team members and fiscal stability of campus. Direct
responsibility for the oversight of the Community Risk Management
Program. Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting,
collection and analysis of adverse events, near misses, and
potentially hazardous conditions; monitor the performance of
processes that involve risk or that may result in serious adverse
events at the community. Proactively works to identify and reduce
hazards and improve the overall safety of residents, visitors, and
team members.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Active Pennsylvania Nursing Home Administrator state licensure
required
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (social service, nursing,
health administration, etc.) required, master's degree
preferred
- Minimum 5 years' experience healthcare administration
required
- Demonstrated financial management skills required
- Demonstrated affinity for and ability to work within the
structure of a Life Plan Community (CCRC) required
- Ability to make oral and written presentations to a variety of
groups required
- Prior management experience in long-term care setting

- Serves as Health Center Administrator.
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding occupancy and mix
goals.
- Responsible for the direction, coordination and supervision of
all activities within the campus.
- Oversees the resident admission process, maintaining compliance
with all organizational policies and applicable regulations.
- Responsible to ensure resident rights are promoted, understood,
and followed throughout the community.
- Maintains records, prepares and submits reports as required by
community policy and regulatory agencies.
- Consults and meets with community team members on matters
pertaining to health center operations and external
relationships.
- Makes at least daily rounds to assess quality of care
performance and teamwork by employees, assuring quality service.
Responsible for establishing a quality working and living
environment in the campus.
- Develops positive relationships with all campus residents,
families and visitors.
- Is accessible to residents and families informally as well as
through planned interactions/functions.
- Performs or oversees the selection, supervision, evaluation,
assessing of competencies and corrective action for all department
managers.
- Is accessible to team informally as well as through planned
interactions/functions.
- At least annually, evaluates job performance of management team
and reviews job performance evaluations of other supervisory team
members completed by the management team.
- Acts as a liaison between the campus and outside entities such
as regulatory agencies, fiscal intermediaries, or state or federal
regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance of the campus with all
applicable regulations.
- Responsible for ensuring resident rights are promoted,
understood, and followed throughout the community.
- Responsible for preparing the campus budget for approval.
- Responsible for maintaining fiscal soundness of campus
according to budget plan.
- Responsible for ensuring a quality environment throughout the
community/campus.
- Acts as continuous quality improvement catalyst.
- Responsible for the effective marketing and public relations of
the campus.
- Develops (in conjunction with Administrative Office) an
annually updated marketing plan.
- Responsible for procurement of necessary supplies to operate
the campus in compliance with federal and state regulations and
Presbyterian Senior Living policies and quality standards.
- Arranges with outside vendors for supply delivery as well as
contracted management team members.
- Develops and cultivates relationships with community leaders,
churches, and other constituencies to promote the campus and
Presbyterian Senior Living within the local geographic area.
- Establishes campus-specific policies (while working within the
corporate framework of policies) as necessary to meet specific
needs of the community that are not covered by operating
policy.
- Responsible for compliant interpretation of all federal, state
and local regulations as well as Presbyterian Senior Living
policies and procedures for campus team members.
- Knowledgeable of residents' conditions through daily rounds,
personal visits and discussion with nursing management.
- Serves as a liaison with physician medical director and other
outside consultants as necessary.
- Ensures all necessary in-service programs take place annually
