Job Description:

The American Legion Post 46 is a patriotic veteran's service organization committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of programs in our local community, who is seeking a full-time manager.

This is a management level position responsible for the overall operational aspects of the bar and kitchen on a day to day basis. A high degree of independence and initiative are required.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating of all employees
Preparing work schedules and assigning and directing work
Building sales and controlling costs by using all cost control tools and processes
Weekly inventory, monitoring, ordering, and picking up of beverage stock (liquor, soda) and other bar condiments/supplies
Marketing strategies, event promotion, and other fund raising activities
Planning and promoting entertainment
Compliance with the PA Department of Revenue's Small Game of Chance (SGOC) Act. Inventory and ordering of SCOG tickets. Ensuring all gaming laws, rules, and regulations are enforced.
Preparing and balance of daily deposits form the bar area and the SGOC and the accountability of all monies received are reported to the Treasurer. Making bank deposits and reporting any discrepancies.
Assist in the kitchen area if needed

REQUIREMENTS:

A minimum of 4 years leadership experience
Strong management and team-building skills with ability to coach others
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with current insurance
Proficiency using Microsoft Office
Bartending experience and RAMP certification preferred
Must be able to successfully pass required background checks
Must have open and flexible availability to work days/nights/weekends
Salary of $50,000 but with consideration of current training/certification and experience.
