Our partnerships with leading edge technology manufacturers-many of which look to us for their own technology infrastructure needs-keep us immersed across the broad spectrum of the IT ecosystem.As a National SLED Evangelist, your key objectives will be to increase team revenue/profitability and increase ePlus' market presence across the United States by assisting a team of sales professionals who are tasked with aggressively selling into current and future customer site, helping managing our public sector contracts portfolio, as well as regular engagement with our key partners.

From strategy to fulfillment to managed services, our engineering-centric solutions enable our clients to realize what it means for technology to do more.Job Responsibilities:

  • Achieve or exceed sales quota
  • Perform high-level aspects of management of a vertical-centric sales team
  • Manage strategic planning and business development for public sector
  • Identify and develop new account customers
  • Increase annual revenue from each existing account
  • Assist in recruiting, training and mentoring account executives
  • Manage profit and budget for any direct business ownership
  • Manage SLED sales forecasting to executive management
  • Conduct business in a professional, competent, and ethical manner
  • Become familiar with the top 10-20 ePlus customer relationships in each of the 4 SLED disciplines (K-12, Higher-Education, Local Government, and State Government)
  • Lead a monthly recurring call to update the field on all things newsworthy in SLED (i.e., vertical changes, wins, partner news, hot topics, etc.)
  • Understand out contract portfolio and how to assist the field to understand the best options to get deals closed and won
  • Be the POC for vendors looking to engage ePlus in the SLED space to help them understand how we go-to-market in this vertical and how to make a positive impact with ePlus
  • This role may include managing a limited number of SLED sellers as we build and mature the business across specific geographies
  • Help provide guidance, review, and input to our regional management around pricing strategies for 'strategic' RFP and contract bid responses
  • Willingness to travel (if necessary) to meet with customers for the largest opportunities around the country (best a few times per year)
  • Willingness to travel to represent ePlus for SLED centric vendor conference, EBC's, etc. (likely a few times per year)
  • Characteristic of attention to detail is a must, to ensure we are operating well within all stringent rules and requirements of contracts, programs like e-rate, gifting limitations, etc.Your Corporate Responsibilities:Internal Control responsibilities vary by role and are subject to change.       • Must demonstrate ability to qualify, penetrate, and close new accounts

      • Possess ability to work independentlyEducation/Experience:
        • Bachelor's degree required
        • Minimum of 8+ years management experience
        • Minimum of 10+ years successful technology sales experience with at least 8 years consistent quota achievementPhysical Requirements of Position:Ability of finger dexterity to be used primarily to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects or pinching fingers together. Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands and / or fingers. Speech ability must be at a level where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly. Hearing ability must be at a level to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Visual ability must be average with ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery. Physical strength for sedentary work with sitting most of the time.
