As a key part of CarMax, the nation's largest retailer of used vehicles, the Automotive Technician will play a vital role in helping us maintain our reputation for high-quality car servicing. This role primarily focuses on vehicle repair and maintenance during our second shift, ensuring that each customer's vehicle is handled with precision and care. Located at our state-of-the-art facilities, this position offers a dynamic work environment where each technician is supported by advanced technology and ongoing training programs. Perform maintenance and repair on customer vehicles. Identify problems with vehicles using the diagnostic equipment. Explain automotive repairs and issues and provide great customer service. Carry out routine vehicle maintenance and general mechanic work. Engage in learning and development activities to increase knowledge and skills. Adhere to all company policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules. Proficiency in vehicle electronic systems and diagnostic tools. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills and ability to explain technical details to non-technical personnel. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance 401k ASE certification preferred but not required. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
