Operator Job Description The Lathe Machine Operator is responsible
for setting up and operating a CNC Lathe according to
specifications detailed in blueprints and work instructions. This
role involves working with various machinery, including CNC lathes,
manual lathes, and band saws. Responsibilities Set up and operate
CNC lathes, including older Mazak machines, to cut and hold
tolerances. Edit, cut, and change tooling as needed. Plan and
organize daily workload to meet the production schedule. Safely
operate equipment and perform routine machine maintenance,
including cleaning and lubrication. Review specifications to
determine setup procedures, dimensions, and machining sequences
required for manufacturing parts. Observe machine operations to
detect malfunctions or questionable conditions. Perform detailed
inspections of manufactured parts to ensure they meet
specifications while maintaining production goals in terms of cycle
time, quantity, and quality. Essential Skills Experience with CNC
lathes and Mazak machines. Ability to read and interpret
blueprints. Proficiency in using band saws and manual lathes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with tooling and
machine maintenance. Willingness to cross-train in any department

environment is very loud, dirty, and subject to varying
temperatures. Candidates must be comfortable working in such
conditions and willing to cross-train. The schedule includes a
four-day work week from Monday to Thursday, with shifts ranging
from early morning to late night. There is also an option for
additional work on Friday and Saturday. Job Type & Location This is
a Contract to Hire position based out of Camp Hill, PA. Pay and
Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
