Job Description Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on food processing equipment, involving both mechanical and electrical systems. Responsibilities also include breaking down machinery for cleaning and starting up the machinery. Utilize a CMMS system for preventive maintenance and work orders. Limited troubleshooting is required as the machines do not run at night. Responsibilities Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on food processing equipment. Conduct preventive maintenance using a CMMS system. Break down machinery for cleaning and facilitate machinery startup. Utilize troubleshooting skills for control voltage systems, ranging from 24V to 480V. Work with pneumatics, power transmission, pulleys, chains, sprockets, drives, motors, and conveyors. Essential Skills Experience with electrical systems, including control voltage and three-phase systems. Proficiency in pneumatics and mechanical systems. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Experience with troubleshooting and repairing machinery. Additional Skills & Qualifications Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with GMP protocols. Work Environment The work takes place in a refrigerated food manufacturing plant, requiring adherence to GMPs. Shifts available include 1st shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM and 3rd shift from 11 PM to 7:30 AM. Employees are provided with gowns, steel-toed boots, and both basic and specialty tools. Orientation and GMP training occur on the first day, starting at either 8 AM or 9 AM. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Dulles, VA.
