job Title: Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a four-year bachelor's degree in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, or a related field, as well as experience in alternative on-site sewage disposal septic design and/or geotechnical engineering.

Responsibilities:

--- Conduct geotechnical analysis to evaluate the stability of earth and rock formations for construction and infrastructure projects.

--- Analyze soil, rock, and water samples to assess their engineering properties.

--- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software and other tools to create plans and specifications for construction and infrastructure projects.

--- Develop cost estimates for geotechnical work and provide recommendations to clients and stakeholders.

--- Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate project findings to internal and external audiences.

--- Manage and direct junior engineers and technicians to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

--- Perform field work, including drilling and soil sampling, to gather data and monitor construction activities.

Requirements:

--- Bachelor's degree in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.

--- Passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.

--- Experience in alternative on-site sewage disposal septic design and/or geotechnical engineering.

--- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of geotechnical analysis software and CAD tools.

--- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate project findings to stakeholders and team members.

--- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

--- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

--- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
