Will Do:
- Act as a first-responder, interacting directly with users and
system administrators to document and address service requests and
trouble reports
- Diagnose and resolve common connectivity and network service
issues
- Install, configure, and manage network equipment (firewalls,
routers, switches, Load Balancers, etc.)
- DHCP/DNS system administration (assignment and coordination of
network addresses)
- Proficiency in OSI Layer 2-3 environments
- Implement Firewall Policies
- Incident Response for security and outage situations
- Cyber related tasks for vulnerability auditing, assessment,
remediation and forensics.
- Provide internal status reports.
- Enforces quality control of project deliverables.
- Contributes to developing efficient processes and procedures
for continuing improvement of the certification and accreditation
process.What You Will Need:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET federal security
clearance
- Active and current CompTIA Security+ Certification
- Associates degree, or equivalent work experience can be
substituted for degree.
- 1+ years of experience with network infrastructure and/or
monitoring solutions.What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Knowledge of the Department of Homeland Security enterprise
architecture including security policies, procedures, and
guidance.
- Basic familiarity with NIST certification and accreditation
processes.
- Basic familiarity with Juniper Firewall implementation and
maintenance in a DOD environment
- Basic familiarity with DOD STIG requirements
- Familiarity with LAN/WAN/TCP/IP, IT security architecture and
design (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, virtual private
networking, and virus protection technologies behavioral based a
plus).
- Basic familiarity of various operating systems and
hardware.
- A candidate that possess one or more of the following
training/certifications: CCNA, JNCIA-Junos or JNCIS-SEC, FortiGate
NSE 1, Juniper: JNCIA-Junos, Juniper firewall and security
management, a plus.
- Basic experience running enterprise vulnerability scanning
platforms such as Nessus and Retina
- Basic experience with vulnerability management systems such as
IACS XACTA and VMS
- Familiarity with VPN, InfoBlox, and SolarWinds.What We
