This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.Responsibilities:

• Design and develop code for automating and orchestrating COTS components for our next generation systems
  • Automated deployment of bare metal, containers and virtual machines
  • Integrating COTS components with the rest of the system to provide initial staging and incremental updates in the field
  • Develop infrastructure as code to support features and upgrades for the current Jupiter Platforms
    • Platform development to host software application and features
    • Upgrade of Operating Systems and other COTS to keep them up to date on bug and security fixes
    • Provide repeated test and integration test beds an plans to verify and qualify engineering developed software releases.
    • Research and develop new ideas and technologies to integrate COTS and Hughes developed platforms in support of NFV, SDN and orchestration goals
    • Provide tertiary engineering on-call production supportBasic Requirements:
      • Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering or related technical field
      • 2 years of relevant work experiencePreferred Qualifications:
        • Knowledge of the Linux, Python and Ansible is preferred. Should be familiar with NFV/SDN technologies and frameworks like Openstack, ONOS/OpenDaylight, Docker, MANOWill be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
