Description:Manage medical device kitting activities through
Kit-to-Stock requests and plansMonitor fulfillment activities with
regards to finalizing kitting, labeling and process
documentationWork heavily on the operations components and process
engineering components of the process while overseeing outsourced
vendors for packaging engineering/ production. Works on some
packaging engineering design activity as required but minimal.
Create, edit and document new and existing labels (proficient user
to Adobe Illustrator and BarTender)Complete Shipping Studies as
required.Create and update BOMs, Bill of Materials, for Finished
Goods where necessary. Updating work instructions, updating labels
and packaging specifications that need updating to FDA regulations.
Drive process improvements to receiving, kitting and outbound
proceduresWhen required for the team, work to physically kit new
Clinical ProductDraft PBRs as a part of the engineering response
team for Medical Device Reports (MDR) for problem resolution and
troubleshooting. Draft and issue Material Transfer Requests as
neededTop Skills Details:1) Experience managing vendors, multiple
ones at once. This involves soft skills, time management/
scheduling skills and communications/ organization skills. 2)
Experience with packaging/ logistics/ labeling engineering and the
related processes there. Experience with outsourcing packaging a
plus. 3) Experience working in some sort of regulated space
(medical device preferred but others are OK) 4) Experience working
with a documentation repository, configuration management system of
document QMS (Quality Management System)Additional Skills &
- Requires a Bachelors in Science in Engineering or related
discipline. Experience could overpower the discipline of the
- 4-7 yrs of experience at a minimum is required
- Experience and knowledge of working with regulated industries
including FDA regulated (medical device, pharma, biotech),
automotive, DoD, Aerospace.
- Experience and knowledge in Adobe Illustrator or related SW
tool used for packaging design and labelling; utilize the BarTender
software but experience there is not required.
- Experience and knowledge of a Quality Management System (QMS)
or related documentation repository is required; utilize
MasterControl QMS but any system is applicable.
- Desired: Experience working with ECO's - Engineering Change
