- POSITION SUMMARY
Sony Corporation of America (SCA), is seeking a Senior Manager,
Mission Engineering , Services Delivery , GSIRT-US to join the
Corporate Information Security Division located Herndon, VA . This
position will report to the Director of Mission Engineering and is
responsible for building and maintaining strong customer
relationships through the GSIRT Engagement Management Program and
deploying GSIRT tools and services to Sony Group Companies to
maintain and improve Sony's overall cy b er-s ecurity monitoring
coverage. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the activities and resources of the Service Delivery
team, providing technical and administrative direction, giving
performance feedback, assigning tasks, planning projects, preparing
budgets, developing short and long-range plans for the team, and
related functions
- S erve as both the technical lead or architect and program
manager that oversees the overall system build lifecycle, system
refreshes , logistics , and inventory management.
- Improve GSIRT's security coverage over new and existing Sony
Group Companies (SGC) by delivering GSIRT services through the
Engagement Management program.
- Monitor, control and support service delivery; ensuring
systems, methodologies and procedures are in place and followed.
- Identify gaps in coverage and proactively work with SGCs and
GSIRT teams to resolve those gaps.
- Build and maintain databases that capture information pertinent
to GSIRT to inform incident response processes and resolve
questions related to SGC security posture.
- Develop and implement a continuous improvement process for
managing deployments, system builds and system lifecycle
refreshes.
- Champion and implement ESOAR initiatives to improve the
efficiency and value proposition of Service Delivery
functions.
- Establish measurable key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge
quality of service and identify opportunities for improvement over
time.
- Collaborate across GSIRT teams to ensure the timely , accurate
, and complete delivery of GSIRT services to SGCs . QUALIFICATIONS
FOR POSITION Your qualifications and experience should include:
- Minimum 7 years' experience in Information Technology ,
Cyber/Information Security or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years' direct experience in a s ervice d elivery
function , architecting and deploying security tools or similar
function in a technology role
- Minimum 3 years' experience with Unix/Linux system
administration
- Strong and demonstrable networking, security
engineering/architecture is a must
- Experience with managing multiple projects is a must
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud-based computing experience
is a must , hand-on experience is preferred
- Hands-on demonstrable e xpertise in the design, configuration,
tuning and customization of all aspect of Unix/Linux servers,
Splunk, Firewalls (NGFW), Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems,
Network Packet Brokers, VPNs and network span/tap devices is a must
.
- Experience with automation and configuration management tools
(e.g., Salt , Ansible) is preferred .
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision -
making skills
- Strong work ethic and commitment to accomplish assigned
tasks
- Ability to traverse and work in data centers, climb ladders,
and lift computer equipment is required. Ability to travel
domestically and internationally as required, up to 10%

- Annual incentive bonus The anticipated annual base salary for
this position is $160,000 to $190,000. This range does not include
any other compensation components or other benefits that an
individual may be eligible for . The actual base salary offered
depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable,
the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position,
years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of
education attained, certifications or other professional licenses
held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from
